How many classes should I take?
Many people enjoy taking three or more classes per week. At least two seems to be optimum for experiencing the benefits of yoga early on. Some of us can only fit one class per week into our busy lives. The number of classes you take should work with your schedule and lifestyle.
How do I choose the right class?

What if I am not very flexible?
Flexibility does not come easily to most people. Those who are very flexible often benefit from strengthening work. The point is that almost everyone has something that they would like to work on. It is a misunderstanding that you have to be flexible to do yoga or that flexibility is all that yoga is about. We work on many levels: the body, the breath, the mind and the spirit all come into play in every class. We'll meet you where you are (even it you can't touch your toes) and see where you go from there!
What if I have pain or a previous injury?
It is always appropriate to talk to us about any existing physical conditions and concerns you have about them. Yoga does help many people with chronic pain by helping the body regain its balance between strength and flexibility, movement and awareness. If you are under a doctor's care for an acute situation, please be sure you discuss taking yoga classes with him or her. In some cases, it is more appropriate to work one on one with a teacher at the beginning.
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing! Just yourself wearing comfortable clothes. We have mats and props available for your use and mats for purchase as well. Clothing should be something you can freely move in but shouldn't get in the way.
Do I need to preregister?
Drop ins are welcome but it is encouraged to register in advance to reserve your spot. If you don't have a current pass the system will not allow you to sign up in advance.
